There are many companies with names like Acai pure or Acai cleanse advertising free trials of Acai berry products online. Before buying any Acai products or requesting any trials it is a good idea to find out whether the website is legitimate. Many of these offers are perpetrated by companies pedaling poor quality products or charging your credit card for a subscription hidden in the fine print of the trial agreement.

Native to South and Central America, the Acai berry grows in the rainforest and similarly wet areas. It is the fruit of a species of palm tree called the Acai palm. The berries, which grow in clusters of hundreds, are dark purple. Each berry is smaller than a grape and contains a single large seed. After being harvested, the berries are eaten or used as flavoring for other food which may be fresh, dried, or as juice. Acai berries are also used in the weight loss aids, dietary supplements, and cleanse products advertised by scam companies with names like Acai pure.

Thanks to the some websites, it can be difficult to tell fact from fiction when it comes to the properties of the Acai berry. These companies often make claims that Acai can promote rapid or extreme weight loss, or stop or reverse aging. If you think these miraculous-sounding health benefits seem too good to be true, you are probably right since there is a lack of real scientific evidence to back them up. Unfortunately, some companies like Acai Pure try to make these claims seem legitimate by creating realistic looking news, health, or blog websites praising Acai and the their questionable products. These sites may present results of non-existent weight-loss studies as proof or fake a celebrity endorsement.

What is True about the Acai Berry?

While it may not do everything some websites like to claim it can, Acai does have some positive attributes such as fiber, some vitamins, and antioxidants. Like many fruits and vegetables, especially brightly colored ones, this berry contains antioxidants. They have antioxidants called flavonoids as well as anthocyanins, the latter being what gives Acai berries, along with blueberries and red grapes, their color. Both types of antioxidants help protect the body from free radicals, harmful byproducts of everyday processes in the body. Free radicals cause damage at the cellular level, which may promote some types of disease like cancer and heart disease. Eating a diet rich in antioxidants, like those found in Acai, helps to combat the effects of free radicals.

With all of the hype about Acai berries, it may be difficult to decide whether or not they are for you. If you do decide to try Acai remember to be wary of those websites with names like Acai pure and protect yourself from scams. Look for information from trustworthy sources without a financial incentive to exaggerate the benefits of Acai and believe claims only if there is scientific proof available. Acai berries, juices, or even sorbets, could make a healthy, flavorful, and antioxidant-rich addition to your diet.
